HALLOSUMEDANG – Sumedang, April 20, 2024 – Yudia Ramli’s career as a bureaucrat has been quite smooth. After serving for 1 year as the Director of Regional Owned Enterprises, Regional Public Service Agency, and Regional Property (BUMD, BLUD, and BMD), and almost 1 year as the Acting Head of the Public Relations Center, he is now entrusted with additional responsibilities as the Acting Regent of Sumedang.

Yudia Ramli was officially inaugurated as the Acting Regent of Sumedang by the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, on April 20, 2024.

The additional tasks assigned by the President have fueled Yudia Ramli’s enthusiasm to serve in the bureaucratic realm. When approached after the inauguration, he emphasized that the task entrusted to him is a mandate that must be fulfilled responsibly for the progress and welfare of the people of Sumedang Regency.

“I am ready to fulfill the responsibilities given by the President as the Acting Regent of Sumedang. Let’s continue and accomplish various priority programs in 2024,” said Yudia firmly.

Throughout his journey as the Acting Regent of Sumedang, his name has practically never been heard in the media. However, surprisingly, this spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs managed to be elected and entrusted by the President to lead 1.1 million people of Sumedang Regency.

For the people of Sumedang who are curious about the new Acting Regent of Sumedang, here is the complete profile of Drs. H. Yudia Ramli, M.Si.

Almost all of Yudia Ramli’s youth was spent in West Java. This native Sundanese began his schooling from elementary to high school in Bandung Regency, precisely at SD Negeri II Cilampeni in 1982, SMP Negeri I Ketapang in 1985, and SMA Negeri 6 in 1988. After graduating from high school, he continued his studies at IAIN Sunan Gunung Jati in Bandung City, majoring in Islamic propagation, and graduated in 1992.

Feeling that he had not mastered enough knowledge in propagation, Yudia also deepened his knowledge of foreign languages, especially English. He then attended the School of Foreign Languages (STBA) Yapata in Bandung Regency and graduated in 1994.

Despite having pursued lengthy education, Yudia Ramli chose to continue his master’s degree in Yogyakarta, precisely at Gadjah Mada University majoring in Public Administration and graduated in 2004. His comprehensive educational background made him confident to stride into the bureaucratic world in Jakarta.

As a bureaucrat at the Ministry of Home Affairs, he has undergone various training courses (Diklat). Starting from entrepreneurship training in small-scale industrial technology, training in economic development and business in the region, e-government training, government procurement training, digital leadership academy (DLA) to training in maintaining the neutrality of civil servants in the 2024 General Elections and Simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada).

Not only training courses, but he also attended various seminars. Ranging from seminars on building solidarity and solidarity among civil servants to strengthen bureaucracy, seminars on developing human resources for the Fire and Rescue Apparatus, to seminars on developing digital literacy for civil servants.

In his career at the Ministry of Home Affairs, he has held several positions such as Head of the Disaster Potential Identification Sub-Directorate in 2010, Head of the Decentralization and Assistance Task Sub-Directorate in 2011, Head of the District Facilitation Sub-Directorate in 2014, Head of Domestic Cooperation Division in 2015, and Head of Public Service Facilitation Sub-Directorate in 2018. His career continued to rise until in 2020 to 2021, he was entrusted to be the Head of the Bandung Regional HRD.

His name became more recognized by the public after being trusted to hold positions as the Secretary of the Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKPP) from 2021 to 2023, Director of BUMD, BLUD, and BMD in August 2023, and lastly being trusted to accompany the Minister of Home Affairs as the Head of Public Relations since October 2023 until now.

Thanks to his responsible and disciplined performance, in 2024, this native son of West Java finally returned to his hometown to build his birthplace, West Java. The President, through the Acting Governor of West Java, inaugurated him as the Acting Regent of Sumedang.
