HALLOSUMEDANG – The Acting Regent of Sumedang, Yudia, expressed his full support for the implementation of the Targeted Fuel Subsidy Program based on QR Codes in the Sumedang region. This support was conveyed during an audience with representatives of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Sales Area Manager (SAM) Retail Bandung at the Sumedang Regent’s office on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Yudia views this program as an important step in ensuring that subsidized fuel, especially Pertalite, is truly received by those who are entitled. The implementation of QR Codes at gas stations will help monitor the distribution of subsidized fuel to ensure it is on target and prevent misuse.

“We are greatly helped by the existence of this Targeted Subsidy Program. In addition to ensuring that subsidized fuel is on target, this program also has the potential to increase regional income through increased sales of non-subsidized fuel and PBBKB,” said Yudia.

Meanwhile, Heidy Septiana Nugroho, Sales Branch Manager (SBM) Rayon III Bandung for the Sumedang region, explained that Pertamina will begin a trial of purchasing Pertalite using QR Codes for four-wheeled vehicles in Sumedang starting in September 2024. This program is an extension of the targeted subsidy program for Biosolar that has been running previously.

Pertamina hopes that the Sumedang Regency Government can help socialize this program to the public, including ensuring the availability of digital facilities and infrastructure at gas stations so that the public can easily participate.

With the full support of the local government and high public awareness, it is hoped that the Targeted Fuel Subsidy Program can run successfully and provide benefits for all parties.
