HALLOSUMEDANG – The Sumedang Regency government, along with four other districts, submitted the Unaudited Local Government Financial Statements (LKPD) for the Fiscal Year 2023 to the State Audit Agency (BPK) Provincial Representative Office in West Java, on Thursday (28/03/2024). The handover of the Unaudited LKPD for FY 2023 was conducted by the Acting Regent of Sumedang, Herman Suryatmani, to the Head of the BPK RI West Java Representative, Sudarminto Eko Putra.
Acting Regent Herman stated that the submission of the LKPD is one of the obligations of the Sumedang Regional Government after the implementation of the 2023 APBD as part of the responsibility and reporting duties in accordance with the cycle of local government performance governance.
“What is done must be documented, what is done must be accounted for, and what is accounted for must be reported. This is part of the governance management of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling,” he said.
According to Herman, the implementation of the 2023 APBD by the Sumedang Regional Government has proceeded smoothly, with the APBD aimed at serving as a tool for community welfare.
“After receiving the report, the BPK will conduct further examinations in the Sumedang Regency, and hopefully, this will guide us and, of course, provide feedback,” he said.
He added that guidance or feedback from the BPK is expected to improve the quality of future APBDs, building on lessons learned from the 2023 APBD.
“We will strive our utmost to optimize the APBD to be effective and efficient, ultimately leading to the welfare of the people,” he said.
The Head of the BPK RI West Java Representative, Sudarminto Eko Putra, stated that the submission of the LKPD is a form of accountability for regional financial management. In accordance with Article 56 of Law number 1 of 2004, local governments are obliged to submit unaudited LKPD to the BPK no later than 3 months after the end of the fiscal year.
