HALLOSUMEDANG – Following Herman Suryatman’s inauguration as the Secretary of West Java, the Acting Secretary of Sumedang, Tuti Ruswati, has been tasked with managing the day-to-day responsibilities of Sumedang’s Regent.
Tuti Ruswati’s appointment as the Acting Regent of Sumedang is in accordance with the Presidential Decree No. 36/TPA of 2024 dated March 20, 2024, regarding the termination and appointment of high-ranking officials within the West Java Provincial Government.
Given the elevation of the Acting Regent of Sumedang to the position of West Java’s Secretary, the Minister has yet to designate a new Acting Regent for Sumedang.
In a radiogram signed by the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Triadi Machmudin, several points were conveyed. The Governor of West Java, as the representative of the Central Government, has instructed the Acting Secretary to carry out the daily duties of Sumedang’s Regent until the appointment of a new Acting Regent.
Therefore, to ensure the continuity of local governance in Sumedang, the Acting Secretary of Sumedang is tasked with fulfilling the daily duties of Sumedang’s Regent until further notice.
These provisions are effective from April 1, 2024, until the issuance of the Minister of Home Affairs’ decision regarding the Acting Regent of Sumedang.
