Tribute at Cimayor Heroes’ Cemetery Ignites Spirit for Kodam III/Siliwangi Anniversary

HALLOSUMEDANG – In anticipation of the 78th anniversary of the Kodam III/Siliwangi Military Command, the 0610/Sumedang Military District Command (Kodim) held a solemn tribute at the Cimayor Heroes’ Cemetery in Kebonjati Village, Sumedang Utara District.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished assembly, including Lt. Col. Kav Christian Gordon Rambu, Commander of Kodim 0610/Sumedang; Major Inf. Henggar Tri Wahyono, Commander of the 301st Raider Infantry Battalion; Captain Cpm Suryadi, Commander of the Military Police Sub-Detachment; along with officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian staff of Kodim 0610/Sumedang. Notably present were also Mrs. Margaretha Gordon Rambu, Chairperson of the Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana (military wives association) Branch XXI, and Mr. H. Sutrisno, Chairperson of the Indonesian Veterans Legion (LVRI) in Sumedang Regency, accompanied by their respective members.

The tribute commenced with a reverent salute to the fallen heroes, followed by a moment of silence, the laying of wreaths, a final salute, prayers, and the symbolic scattering of flower petals on the graves.

This poignant event served as a profound homage to the sacrifices made by the heroes who fought for Indonesia’s independence.

Through this act of remembrance, it is hoped that future generations will draw inspiration from the valor, dedication, and selflessness of these heroes, as they continue to shape the nation’s destiny.
