HALLOSUMEDANG – The Sumedang Regional Government, in collaboration with BAZNas Sumedang, launched innovative programs “Senyum Dhuafa” (Sembako Sampai ke Rumah Dhuafa/ Groceries to the Homes of the Needy) and “Z-Baraya” (Bantuan Kesejahteraan Anak Yatim/ Child Welfare Assistance) as strategic steps to overcome extreme poverty.
The Senyum Dhuafa program provides a “Kartu Tangkis” (Tangkis Card) to each beneficiary, serving as a tool to deliver aid in a targeted and transparent manner. Aid transactions can be made through various platforms, including BAZNas Sumedang, ZISMART BAZNas Sumedang, and the Whatsapp-based BAZNas Simpati application, making it easier for beneficiaries to receive assistance directly at their homes.
Acting Regent of Sumedang, Yudia Ramli, symbolically handed over aid to six representatives of the needy and three orphans at the commemoration ceremony of National Awakening Day 2024 at the Sumedang Government Center Ceremony Field, Monday (20/5/2024).
The program targets 1,000 people living in extreme poverty, with each receiving Rp 500 thousand in aid per year. In addition, orphans will receive a monthly allowance of Rp 250 thousand for a year. “We hope this assistance can ease the burden on orphans, help them meet their daily needs, and achieve a brighter future,” said Yudia.
With the launch of Senyum Dhuafa and Z-Baraya, Sumedang Regency demonstrates its commitment to eradicating extreme poverty and providing special attention to orphans, creating a more prosperous and just society.
