HALLOSUMEDANG – Sumedang’s Acting Regent, Yudia Ramli, officially launched the fourth wave of an accelerated Islamic boarding school program (Pesantren Kilat/Peski) for village officials across Sumedang Regency.
The event took place at the Asyifa Wal Mahmudiyah Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) on Jalan Simpang, Pamulihan District, on Monday, August 12, 2024. This fourth wave of Peski was attended by 142 participants, consisting of village officials and their spouses.
Over two days, Peski participants will undergo intensive religious guidance. The main goal of this activity is to strengthen their faith and morals, with the hope of having a significant positive impact on their performance in serving the community in their respective villages.
Acting Regent Yudia Ramli firmly emphasized the importance of integrity and responsibility in carrying out duties as a village official.
“This Peski is designed to strengthen the mental and spiritual foundation of village officials,” he said. “Thus, they can carry out their duties and responsibilities better and be able to provide optimal service to the community.”
Furthermore, he explained that Peski is not just a forum for deepening religious knowledge. This activity also functions as a means to strengthen the ties of friendship among village officials. The hope is that a stronger synergy will be created in building Sumedang Regency into a more advanced and moral region.
“In addition to mastering government science, village officials must also have a deep understanding of religion so that it can be applied in everyday life,” he added.
“Hopefully, after completing this Pesantren, they can become good role models and inspire others so that their villages become more blessed and prosperous.”
