HALLOSUMEDANG – Yudia Ramli received praise from the Evaluation Team of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Itjen Kemendagri) for his achievements in controlling inflation and reducing stunting rates during his tenure as Acting Regent of Sumedang.
During an evaluation held on Monday (October 21, 2024) at the Itjen Kemendagri building in Jakarta, key issues such as stunting, inflation, extreme poverty, unemployment, and budget absorption were highlighted by the evaluation team.
In front of the evaluators, the Acting Regent of Sumedang explained that inflation in Sumedang was relatively under control, with a dominant deflation trend from July to September 2024.
“The deepest deflation occurred in September, but efforts to accelerate regional spending successfully restored the Price Index Development (IPH) to positive in October,” said Acting Regent Yudia.
He further mentioned that the prevalence of stunting in Sumedang had successfully dropped from 27.6% in 2022 to 14.4% in 2023, and continued to decline to 7.32% by August 2024.
“This success is thanks to the collaboration of various parties and well-measured interventions across all levels,” he stated.
Evaluator III, Drs. Azwan, M.Si, emphasized that the data presented by the Acting Regent concerning food needs and availability met expectations.
In addition to praise, the Evaluation Team also provided several notes and suggestions for improvement so that Sumedang can continue to innovate and enhance public service effectiveness.
“Through this evaluation, it is hoped that the Acting Regent will remain committed to completing development projects, ensuring food availability, and improving the welfare of the people of Sumedang,” he concluded.
