HALLO SUMEDANG – In a concerted effort to support the government’s Bintara Pembina Desa (Babinsa) program, Sergeant Heri Setiawan of Koramil 1002/Cimalaka diligently monitors the distribution of rice assistance to residents. This initiative took place at the sports hall of Cikole Hamlet, Rt 01 Rw 01, in Cikole Village, Cimalaka District, Sumedang Regency, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

Captain Inf Lesly Darmawan, the Danramil of 1002/Cimalaka, underscored the significance of this rice distribution, emphasizing its role as government aid through the National Food Agency. The aim is twofold: to safeguard food security and to stabilize rice prices in the market, aligning them with government-set rates.

A total of 687 sacks of rice were distributed today to the residents of Cikole Village, Cimalaka District, with each individual entitled to 10 kg of rice,” Danramil revealed.

As Babinsa, our role as territorial officers extends to ensuring the smooth and orderly distribution of rice assistance. “Furthermore, it is our duty to ensure that this assistance reaches those who are rightfully entitled to it,” Danramil concluded.

By actively participating in such endeavors, the community and its governing bodies work hand in hand to mitigate food insecurity and promote stability in local markets.
