Sumedang Larang Palace Holds Panji Mahkota Kemaharajaan Parade: A Celebration of Tradition and National Spirit

HALLOSUMEDANG – Sumedang was once again enlivened by the Panji Mahkota Kemaharajaan Parade held by the Sumedang Larang Palace to commemorate the 446th Anniversary of Sumedang. This parade is a symbol of the preservation of cultural traditions and respect for ancestors, as well as arousing a sense of love for the country in the hearts of the people.

The journey of the Panji Mahkota Kemaharajaan Parade began from the districts of Darmaraja, Cisitu, Situraja, Ganeas, and Sumedang Utara, until it finally arrived at the lively Alun-alun Sumedang on Sunday (28/4). Thousands of people enthusiastically welcomed the parade procession, capturing this special moment with their cameras and smartphones.

Acting Regent Yudia Ramli and his wife also enlivened the event by riding the Kereta Kencana (Horse-drawn Carriage) from Alun-alun Tegalkalong Sumedang Utara to receive the Panji Santana. In his speech, Acting Regent Yudia said that the Panji Mahkota Kemaharajaan Parade has a deep philosophical meaning in governance, namely the spirit of “Binokasih” which symbolizes compassion.

Furthermore, Acting Regent Yudia expressed his gratitude and pride for the opportunity to ride the Kereta Kencana at the beginning of his term of office. The extraordinary enthusiasm of the people in welcoming the parade is a testament to the solidarity and love among the people.

The Panji Mahkota Kemaharajaan Parade not only featured a procession, but was also enlivened by various interesting attractions. The theatrical performance of the handover of the Binokasih Crown from the Kingdom of Padjajaran to Sumedang Larang was one of the performances that captivated the audience. Beautiful choreography and the IPDN marching band with their stunning performances also added to the excitement of the event.
