HALLOSUMEDANG – In commemoration of Sumedang’s 446th Anniversary, Acting Regent Tuti Ruswati, along with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), paid a pilgrimage to the tombs of Prabu Geusan Ulun and Queen Harisbaya in Dayeuhluhur Village, Ganeas District, on Wednesday (April 17, 2024).
Visiting the ancestral tombs has become an enduring tradition for the Sumedang Regency Government to mark its anniversary. Aside from Dayeuhluhur, pilgrimages were also conducted to the burial complexes of Sumedang princes in Gunung Puyuh and Pasarean.
“This pilgrimage aims to pray for our Sumedang ancestors,” explained Acting Regent Tuti. “Moreover, on this 446th anniversary, we hope that Sumedang will continue to be blessed, spared from various disasters, and that its people will soon achieve prosperity,” she added.
The caretaker of Prabu Geusan Ulun’s tomb, Nono Sutisna, welcomed the presence of Acting Regent Tuti’s entourage. “Alhamdulillah, the group has taken the time to pray for our ancestors. May Allah SWT grant their prayers. And, hopefully, on this anniversary, Sumedang can become even better,” he said.
