HALLOSUMEDANG – Sofia Sahla, a student of class X MIPA 11 at SMA Negeri Situraja, has achieved a remarkable feat for Sumedang Regency. She has been selected as a member of the National Paskibraka (Indonesian flag-raising team) and was officially sent off by Acting Regional Secretary Tuti Ruswati to undergo centralized education and training. Sofia’s achievement marks a historic moment, as Sumedang finally sends a representative to the national level after 23 years.
“Alhamdulillah, this is a historic moment for Sumedang. After 23 years, we finally have a representative in the National Paskibraka,” said Acting Regional Secretary Tuti with pride during Sofia’s farewell at the Sumedang Government Center.
Tuti Ruswati expressed her hope that Sofia would carry out her duties smoothly, give her best for the nation, and bring honor to Sumedang’s name at the national level.
“May Sofia become an inspiration for the young generation of Sumedang to achieve success,” she added.
Sofia, a talented student from Sundamekar Village, Cisitu District, expressed her pride in being part of the National Paskibraka 2024.
“I am very happy and grateful for this opportunity. All of this is thanks to the prayers and support from my parents, family, friends, and the entire Sumedang community,” she said.
Sofia also asked for blessings from the entire Sumedang community to be given smoothness, ease, and health while carrying out her duties as a National Paskibraka. The girl, who is familiarly called Sofi, managed to become the best graduate in the strict selection at the West Java Province level, and will raise the heirloom flag at the Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony on August 17, 2024.
